Greek Religion - A polytheistic religion
Greece believed in worshiping many Gods. Each God was meant to pray to about specific things. Animals were often offered up to the Gods when the Greeks wanted something. If it hadn;t rained in several weeks they would offer some of their best livestock to the Gods. Stories were made up about the Gos to make sense of the Greeks questions that were too big for them to answer themselves.

Athena is the vigin goddess of reason, intelligence, war, arts, and literature. Athena is also te duaghter of Zeus, she was born from his forehead. Athena invented the bridle, which allows man to tame horses, the trumpet, the
flute, the pot, the rake, the plow,, the ship, and the chariot. She represents wisdom, reason, and purity. She was said to be Zeus's favorite child and was allowed to use his weapons, even his thunderbolt. |
